What can be requested

In general, users may make loan requests for books, conference proceedings and some technical reports. Photocopy requests may be made for journal articles, conference papers and patents in accordance with the Hong Kong copyright laws. Audio visual materials and items from reference and special collections of other libraries are not available for loan.

Still-in-print book items which are not available in local libraries

These requests will be passed on to the Acquisitions Section for purchase. Please refer to Library Circular no. 219 for details.

Theses/Dissertations

Most universities do not lend out theses. If the requested thesis is not available for loan in other UGC institutions or the originating institution, the request may be passed on to the Acquisitions Section for purchase.

Standards

Standards are not available for loan. Please make a new book  recommendation to the Library for purchasing the item if it is not available inhouse.
